Luxury African Safari Planning by Travelous Caribbean & the World

Some Places Change How You See Everything.

A lion and her cubs crossing the road ten feet from your vehicle. Elephants silhouetted against the sunset. A silence so deep you can hear your own heartbeat. Africa does something to you that no other place on earth can. We design safaris that make sure you feel every second of it.

Complimentary consultation. No obligation.

THE DREAM YOU CARRY

You've Been Dreaming About Africa. But You Have No Idea Where to Start.

You've seen the photos. A leopard draped across a branch in the golden hour light. A hot air balloon floating over the Serengeti at dawn. Elephants moving through a riverbed so wide it looks like a painting. Something about Africa has been pulling at you for years, and now you're ready.

But the moment you start researching, the overwhelm sets in. You've watched the YouTube videos. You've read the Reddit threads. You've bookmarked fifteen camps and you still can't tell which ones are genuinely worth it and which ones photograph well but disappoint in person. Kenya or Tanzania? Botswana or South Africa? Private conservancy or national park? Tented camp or lodge? The Great Migration happens in July, or is it August, or does it depend on the year? And the pricing. Some camps charge $500 a night and others charge $3,000. What are you actually paying for? What makes one experience worth six times more than another?

You don't want to spend this kind of money and wonder if you chose wrong. You want to arrive knowing that someone who has actually been there, walked the camps, met the guides, and watched the animals on those same plains designed every piece of this trip for you.

Africa is not a destination you figure out on a booking website. It's a place you need someone to walk you into.

RIVER CRUISE SPECIALIST

Your Safari Advisor

I've Walked the Camps, Met the Guides, and Watched the Sun Rise Over the Serengeti. Now I Design That Experience for You.

I'm Nassa Charles, the founder of Travelous Caribbean & the World. Africa changed me the first time I went, and it changes every person I send there. There's a moment on safari when the vehicle stops and everything goes quiet and you realize you're watching something ancient happen right in front of you. That's the moment I design for.

I work with handpicked safari lodges and tented camps across Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, South Africa, Rwanda, Namibia, and Uganda. I know which camps have the best guides, which conservancies offer private game drives away from the crowds, and which properties deliver the kind of experience where you sit down to a candlelit bush dinner under a sky so full of stars you forget that cities exist.

When you book through Travelous Caribbean & the World, you're getting someone who understands that a safari is more than a game drive. It's the lodge that feels like it grew out of the landscape. The guide who reads the bush the way a conductor reads a symphony. The sunrise balloon ride you didn't know would become the single most vivid memory of your life.

The Safari Experience

What Your Safari Looks Like When Travelous Designs It

Destination & Itinerary Design

Kenya and Tanzania for the Great Migration. Botswana for the Okavango Delta's waterways and elephants. Rwanda for mountain gorilla trekking. South Africa for Cape Town and the Kruger. We match the right country, the right parks, and the right season to what you want to see and how you want to feel.

Lodge & Camp Selection

We work with intimate tented camps with twelve guests, not sixty. Private conservancies where your vehicle is one of a handful on the plains. Properties where the design feels like it belongs to the land and the guides have spent decades reading the bush. We know which camps are worth the investment and which ones look better in photos than they feel in person.

Safari Extensions & Combinations

The best Africa trips often combine two experiences. Safari in Kenya followed by a week on the beach in Zanzibar. Gorilla trekking in Rwanda paired with the Serengeti. Cape Town and wine country before the bush. We design the full journey so every piece feels connected and the transitions between them are as smooth as the experiences themselves.

Flights & Private Transfers

Bush flights between parks. Private airport transfers. Connections timed so you arrive rested, not rushed. Africa's logistics can be complex, especially when you're moving between remote camps in different regions. We handle every piece so you never think about it.

Unique Safari Experiences

Hot air balloon rides at dawn over the Mara. Walking safaris through Zambia's South Luangwa. Night drives in private conservancies. Bush dinners under the stars. Guided stargazing with nothing between you and the Milky Way. We layer in the experiences that make your safari feel like yours, not a template.

Real-Time Concierge Support

From the moment you leave home until you return, our team is available. If a flight changes, a transfer needs adjusting, or an opportunity comes up for a private game drive with a legendary guide, we handle it. You're never alone out there.

This is our Signature Experience service. Sound like what you're looking for?

WHEN WE DESIGN YOUR SAFARI

Your guide spots a leopard in a tree three hundred metres off the track. He knows this cat. He's been watching her for years. He drives to a spot where the light is perfect and you're the only vehicle. You sit there for twenty minutes in silence, watching her watch you. That evening, you eat dinner under a sky so thick with stars you can see the Milky Way reflected in your wine glass. You look at your partner and neither of you says anything. You don't need to.

WHEN YOU BOOK WITHOUT GUIDANCE

You booked the lodge that looked best on Instagram, but the rooms face the car park, not the waterhole. Your game drives are in a shared vehicle with twelve other tourists and a guide who sticks to the main roads. You came during the wrong month, so the migration has already moved north and the plains are empty. The transfer between camps took seven hours on a dirt road because nobody told you to book the bush flight. And you can't stop thinking about what this trip cost.

Nassa planned a safari for our 10th anniversary and it was the single most incredible experience of our lives. We saw the Big Five in three days. Our guide knew every animal by name. The lodge felt like a dream. We came home different people.

Where We Design Safaris

The Countries and Regions We Know Best

Boat and Coconut Shell

Kenya

The Masai Mara and its private conservancies. Amboseli with Kilimanjaro rising behind the elephants. Laikipia for walking safaris and intimate lodges. Samburu for rare species you won't find anywhere else. Kenya is where safari began, and Travelous Caribbean & the World has deep relationships with some of the finest camps in the country.

Boat and Coconut Shell

South Africa

The Kruger National Park and the private reserves that border it, especially Sabi Sands, where leopard sightings are almost guaranteed. Cape Town and the Winelands make an extraordinary pairing before or after the bush. South Africa is also one of the best destinations for families with children.

Boat and Coconut Shell

Tanzania

The Serengeti. The Ngorongoro Crater. Tarangire's baobab forests. The Great Migration crosses through here between December and July, and timing your trip to meet it is one of the most important decisions you'll make. We know the migration patterns, the best camps along the route, and when to be where.

Boat and Coconut Shell

Rwanda

Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. Guided hikes through mist-covered forest that lead to habituated mountain gorilla families. Many travellers describe it as the most moving wildlife encounter of their lives. Permits are limited and sell out months in advance. Travelous Caribbean & the World secures these early.

Boat and Coconut Shell

Botswana

The Okavango Delta is one of the most exclusive safari destinations in the world. Botswana deliberately limits tourist numbers to protect its wilderness, which means smaller camps, private game drives, and a level of solitude that makes you feel like you have the bush to yourself. Water-based safaris by mokoro canoe through the Delta are unlike anything else in Africa.

Boat and Coconut Shell

Namibia & Uganda

Namibia for its otherworldly desert landscapes and desert-adapted elephants. Uganda for chimpanzee trekking and a more affordable gorilla experience. Both are extraordinary additions to a broader East or Southern African itinerary.

 HOW IT WORKS

How Travelous Plans Your Safari

01

Tell Us What's Calling You

Is it the animals? The landscape? The quiet? The adventure? We start with a conversation about what kind of experience you're drawn to, how much time you have, and who's travelling with you. From there, we recommend the right country, the right camps, and the right season.

This consultation is complimentary and completely unhurried.

02

We Design the Full Journey

We select the camps, book the best available rooms, coordinate bush flights and ground transfers, and layer in the experiences that make this trip feel personal. Walking safaris, balloon rides, bush dinners, cultural encounters, beach extensions. Every day is designed with intention.

You approve the plan. We handle the rest.

03

You Land in Africa and Everything Is Waiting

Your transfer is arranged. Your camp knows you're coming. Your guide is expecting you. Our concierge team is available throughout your trip. All that's left is to step off the plane, breathe the air, and let Africa do what it does.

That's the whole beautiful point.

We were nervous about taking our kids on safari. Nassa found us a family-friendly lodge in South Africa with a junior ranger programme, kid-safe game drives, and the most incredible pool overlooking the bush. Our children still talk about the baby elephants every single day.

The gorilla trekking in Rwanda was the most profound experience of my life. Nassa handled everything. All I had to do was show up and walk into the forest.

YOUR INVESTMENT

How Much Does a Luxury African Safari Cost?

Luxury safari experiences planned by Travelous Caribbean & the World typically start from $10,000 per person, with most falling between $12,000 and $20,000 depending on the country, the camps, the season, and the length of your trip. Some travellers invest more for multi-country itineraries, gorilla trekking permits, or extended trips that combine safari with a beach stay in Zanzibar or the Seychelles.

Safari pricing varies widely because the experience varies widely. A shared vehicle in a large lodge is a fundamentally different trip from a private guide in an intimate camp on a private conservancy. We'll walk you through exactly what different price points deliver so you can make a confident decision.
